Complacency

Mr. Webster Dictionary defines complacency as self-satisfaction especially when accompanied by unawareness of actual dangers or deficiencies. It is the kind of self-satisfaction that makes us blind to the deficiencies and dangers in the road of life.

When a person is complacent he takes things for granted. They are happy with their present situation and have no desire for progress.
