Funny, at age thirteen I did not know how to send letters by mail. The first time I sent a letter to a friend I put my letter in a white envelope then later I put it again in a second envelope to be sure no one reads it. My nanny laughed at me, later she taught me to put my letter in just one envelope and said, that would be safe and fine.
Hello, I dont think I knew how to send a letter at that age either. We homeschool our children, and sending simple letters, and cards, is one of the exercises we use for writing practice. It works well.

Makes me wonder when did I send my first letter! Well, at age 9 or so, me and my classmates exchange letters, but it's just handmail. I think the first letter I sent was a thank you letter for my sister's nanny who went back to her hometown. I was 11, I guess.

Haha. I guess all first times have a funny story into it. The adventure into the unknown. Thanks for sharing. ;)

ReplyDeletebtw, thanks for linking my blog.
My first letter was for my bestfriend, I wrote it all down on a scratch paper first. When I sealed the envelope and mailed it, I realized I put in the wrong paper, I sealed my scratch paper instead! LOL Nice blog :)
